Job Description
- Utilize internal and external resources to identify customer behaviors that impact business strategy.- Make relevant product recommendations based on demonstrated knowledge of customer, marketplace and macroeconomic trends in Canada; Ensure visual merchandising strategy supports product initiatives.- Collaborate with corporate Merchandising organization to formulate and profitably execute the development, selection, procurement and promotion of merchandise strategies that support annual financial plan that are specific to the Canadian marketplace.- Regularly communicate with Planning and Allocation regarding inventory levels and assortment changes based on business trends to inform distribution decisions.- Execute purchase orders, track future on order, and receipt reconciliation , as per required by both U.S. and Canadian Customs.- Review vendor invoices for accuracy, verify receipt of goods/services, and submit invoices for payment.- Analysis of P&L; responsible for store performance sales, margin, and controllable expenses.- Assist in preparation of financial plans and forecasts.- Partner with US FP&A team members to analyze business results.- Analyze financial statements and business results.- Maintain internal control procedures and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.- Market and competitive awareness - provide strategic marketing insight and direction to corporate Marketing Team.- Strategic evaluation of real estate opportunities.- Assist with Ad-hoc assignments and special projects.
