Job Description

Responsibility for understanding customer needs and behavior and meeting all merchandising requirements of all product categories of the company by sourcing from various sources/markets to ensure timely availability of high quality merchandise at the best prices.
Plan, develop and implement the merchandising strategy for the company to ensure timely availability of high quality products.
Analyse regional sales and market trend data to finalise on products, SKUs to purchase.
Responsible for ensuring timely availability of all SKUs as per the agreed plan and quality standards.
Scout for new market, vendors and new product categories to ensure the companys competitiveness in the market.
Engage and develop brands as vendors to ensure availability of branded products at the retail outlets.
Design and implement market research campaigns to ensure capture of market preference and insights.
Develop and retain a team of committed people.

Key Skill

Apparel, merchandising, sourcing, buyer, vendor development.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduate from NIFT / Pearl with at least 12-15 years of experience in various roles of merchandising (design, purchase).
Should be a fashion/textile graduate from a recognized and reputed fashion institute/engineering college.
Should be in a leadership role and having a direct responsibility of managing a turnover of not less than 300 crore per annum.
Candidates having a minimum of 15 years of work experience and qualifying for the above two requirements need to only apply.
Strong Buying and Merchandising experience at a senior level within a retail environment, with a good track record of success
The ability to communicate confidently at all levels and across many functions internally and externally
Should have excellent skills in problem solving, analysing and present
