Job Description
As a Textile Designer, you will develop and execute textile designs that achieve overall product strategy and merchant objectives.To use your creative skill to continuously, pro-actively develop new designs and concepts which can be offered to our customers, by working in conjunction with our merchandisers, understand the buyer’s requirements and expand the range of products that can be offered for sales.Awareness of latest fashion trends, buying trends and buying patterns in home furnishings, to know the pulse of the market in terms of new development in qualities, finishes, processes, techniques, to be able to source new suppliers accordingly for sampling and bulk production.Managing records of new products, along with technical details.Continuously up-dating our merchandising team for them to promote sales accordingly.Sourcing and suggesting alternatives / options for new development & packaging.Assisting in updating & continuous maintenance of our new product images in our internal software e-biz.Maintaining good working relationship, share own technical and practical knowledge and experience, communicates clearly with the merchandising and production team.Ensuring designs meet merchant line plans, assortment strategies, price points and overall creative direction.Ensuring textile design package is complete, accurate and handed off to merchandising on time.
