Job Description

Manage both Development and Production Merchandising.
Plan and allocate styles at the start of the season to ensure a good balance of workload within the merchandising teams.
Work with Senior Product Developers / Product Developers / Merchandisers to carry out their tasks to achieve targets and goals.
Interpret buyers' requirements, policies and system into our internal system.
Negotiate prices with buyers.
Work with Senior Manager to do planning of styles allocation for bulk to all production factories based on capabilities and volume.
Subject to the assigned brand/customer, points 1-6 need not necessarily be the JD of Manager - Merchandising.
Perform other duties which may be assigned by the superior from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Textile/Fashion Design or equivalent.
At least min 5 years of experience in garment related industry.
Required skill(s): Pc literate, good interpersonal skills, team player.

Bodynits started in Singapore as a Brand of Aerobics Wear in the early eighties. Then catering as a retailer in the burgeoning aerobics market, it was unable to find products to meet the requirements for fashionable and functional apparel for the Asian Cuts and preference, the Tan sisters, Kheng and Lynn Tan decided to go into their own brand, Bodynits and roped in their sisters, Molly and Yin to help in the manufacturing and marketing. It became a roaring success immediately and synonymous with aerobics garments and established markets quickly in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.It was corporatised in 1984 as a private limited company. Soon, many international brands sourcing for similar apparel requested Bodynits to contract manufacture for them. Gee and Bert, their other sister and brother were roped in to manage the growing business. Today, Bodynits focuses on its Contract Manufacturing specialising in fitness fashion wear with stretch and technical fabrics, while the brands, Bods and Bodynits are organized into a sister company, Bodywork Concepts.
