Job Description
Responible for the creation of new designs, pattern changes and resizing.
Create designs that incorporates seasonal trends, color, themes for various product lines.
Create design from concepts through to manufacturing process.
Ensure design library is maintained.
Contribute original ideas which focuses on style elements.
Must be a trend analyst - research and gather design ideas to stay abreast of current trends and new opportunities.
Collaborate with sales team to ensure designs are consistent with brand, customer expectations and sales cycles.
Communicate creative ideas and concepts and encourage feedback.
Proven ability for quick creative thinking with attention to demanding deadlines.
Key Skill
Eligibility Criteria

Formal education in textile design.
Proficient in Photoshop - Nedgraphics or Mira is a definite asset (PC environment).
Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in creating textile / surface designs.
A portfolio which includes a range of designs demonstrating creativity and technical skill.
Proven experience and understanding of new and traditional designs.
Demonstrates ability to bring new sources of creative inspiration to the work and to the team.
Strong time & management skills.
Sensitivity to deadlines.
Able to focus under pressure and ensure tasks to completion.
Develops cooperative working relationships with other team members and departments.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues as well as customers.
Strong work ethic, positive energy and ability to energize others.
