Create range plan/assortment planThorough knowledge of competitor activityRegular sales analysis to spot opportunities/suggest trading actionsLine cards for continuity productAllocating stockManage locator to ensure optimum use of stockMinimize stock holdingsMaximize salesMaintaining and updating records and product filesAnalyzing stock holdingsCreate reports on SAP to improve visibility on stock, sales, POs etcEnsure good communication of all activitiesWork with wholesale team to ensure best product availabilitySupport merchandiser with WSSI updates, plansAnalise key competitor pricing policies to inform the range planning processassist in the creation of a balanced product assortment that is aligned with business strategy and financial goals by reviewing global sales performanceAssist in all strategic opportunities for in-season re-orders, replenishment orders and assist in per-season demand planning.Adhere to seasonal critical path calendar to ensure key milestones are achieved.Will be expected to attend management meetings in the absence of the Senior PlannerDeal and close orders with vendorsNegotiate best price with vendorsWork in coordination with Head designer.Developing skills within a team and encouraging effective teamworkStrong communicator with impressive organizational skills.Pro-active approach to problem-solving, prioritizing and meeting deadlines.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a good understanding of retail systems.Experience at buying and Merchandiser Administrator level for a proven retailer.Strong trading skills and ability to analyses numerical data quickly and efficiently with attention to detail.Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and capable of working at pace.A confident decision maker, with good commercial acumen and a focus on profit.
