Job Description

Write and cover stories in and around the world of fashion.
Catch good informative interviews where they can gain insight and information, and then translate all of that into their writing.
Cover fashion shows, involved with photo shoots, work hand in hand with specific designers, or write stories on a variety of topics.
Fashion writers / editors need to have strong writing skills
Candidate need to be well-versed in editing.
Cover certain topics through written content, and then edit it.
They may be called upon to edit another writers work as per the requirement. Both responsibilities are included in this role, so it is important for the fashion writer/editor to be able to perform each.
A bachelors degree is required for this position. It is preferred that the degree Bachelor in fashion Communication or journalism.
Demonstrating an ability to write through a portfolio of published pieces. If a writer has experience elsewhere but has a strong background in writing can be considered.
Preference will be given to Candidate having Working experience from publication or somewhere else within the fashion world.
The Job roles involve an important mix of both writing and fashion sense.
Meet important deadlines.
Write, edit and proofread the collateral's and marketing literature ongoing basis.
Travel to fashion shows, photo shoots, to meet with designers, or to cover a feature story.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduate or Post Graduate in fashion communication or Diploma in fashion textile, apparel or B.A in English honors.
Candidate should have excellent & presentable communication skill.
Preference will be given to candidate with experience from fashion background, fashion publication or fashion magazine writer or editor.
Candidate must be flair for fashion and cover new trends in fashion.
Fashion writers editors typically worked with a publication. Can cover various stories within the fashion world.
Worked as a specialist in a certain area of fashion.
Candidate must cover stories as they arise.
Candidate will be at a senior / manager level person.
Candidate must have excellent command over English language, have proven and demonstrated proof of her/his mastery over the language. Should have knowledge of grammar and experience of proof read
