The plant was commissioned in April 1988 at Sutrapada, Gujarat which was the largest joint sector company in the Country at that time. The Home Textiles Division has its processing plant at Bhilad (near Vapi) in the Valsad district of Gujarat. Apart from this it's a place next to Daman for personal rejuvenation and just 2 hrs away from Mumbai.
