Project Procurement Planning and Support:Study the project plans for the different projects in the business unitsPrepare procurement plan in accordance with the project plan and guidance from the project manager and Project Monitoring TeamPlan for the procurement of project machinery and services as per specifications Provide procurement support to Projects for urgent material requirementsInteract with the Business Heads/ Project Managers to ensure the following:-Deliver within their budgets and make them successful in meeting their cost targets.Meet their expectation of product & services quality and of timeliness of delivery.Demonstrate high responsiveness and ensure internal customer satisfactionProject ProcurementEnsure on time, within quality and cost procurement for projectsStudy project risk assessment and mitigation tools from the procurement perspective Analyse vendor claims Evaluate vendor performance Conduct negotiation meetings Support contract signing and issuance Prepare tender document for validationFloat RFP and solicit responses to proposalsConducting pre-bid technical meetings with vendors, contractors, consultants & owner to resolve technical issues so as to ensure that bids from all the competitors are at par with each other for comparison Provide guidance on the cash flow by collecting & consolidating cash flows of individual contractors/consultants and update the cash flow requirements on regular basis to finance Vendor ManagementBuild a supplier (global sourcing) base for procurement of machinery and services based on the forward looking business plan and executable project planLiaise with global/domestic vendors and float enquiries to ensure price and availabilityNegotiate with vendors for securing competitive bidsAssess performance of vendors periodicallyStudy possibilities of frame contracts and the benefits it will deliver and recommend to Head Global SourcingManage the Performance of the Procurement area under ones chargeWork closely with the finance and accounts team to study procurement data and identify cost reduction measuresStudy ways and strategies to reduce the total cost of procurement E.g. monitoring project progress and using it for placing orders without blocking liquidityReport on procurement activities and performance to Head Group SourcingReview complaints and quality of project procurement and raise the same with vendors for speedy addressal
