Job Description
Analyzes and improves manufacturing methods using sound data driven practicesUtilizes knowledge of textile products, materials, production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards to drive changeEnhances current manufacturing methods using existing or new equipment to ensure repeat ability and conformance to customer specificationsEvaluates equipment and processes for repeat ability and makes improvements as necessary.Develops processes for manufacturing products using Lean, Six Sigma,and/or Statistics based methods and principles for process excellenceMonitors and audits the performance of processes and equipment and makes recommendations for continuous improvement necessary to maximize process capabilityWorks with vendors and internal resources to determine product specifications and arranges for purchase and installation of equipment, materials or parts for new productsInvestigates, recommends and justifies new technologies, manufacturing methods and equipment to meet competitive business needs and improve efficienciesDocuments processes and works with Training Manager to train operators and other personnel to meet process needsInteractswith Product Development to ensure maneuverability or minimize the risks associated with newproducts transferred tothe Commercial Business GroDevelop sand run sprotocols including IQ, OQ, and PQ activities as requireCreates and revises documents such as Preventative Maintenance, Work Instructions and InternalSpecifications for current manufacturing standardFosters a high level of creativity and independence in the design and development of new or improved manufacturing processes,systems, prototypes and projectUnderstands and complies with current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs)
